Welcome to my new newsletter on Substack!

Okay so I know, so many people are on Substack now BUT here’s the thing… I’ve actually BEEN on substack! If you look back, I have a handful of posts that date back to 2022. I was an early adopter (HAIR FLIP), but decided to switch to Flodesk for a while, but hey, I’m baaaack!

So. Let’s chat. Substack feels like a perfect fit for me. My ADHD brain needs space to do whatever the fuck it wants because frankly, that’s where I thrive. While I love my community on social media and my blog, the algorithms frankly make it waaaay too similar to my day job. And while I’m really good at that, I love the idea of a place with less rules to follow, because I don’t love rules.

That’s where Dinner & A Drink comes in. If you’re like ‘hey, why change the name?!’, well lol I realized Dinner Diaries has been taken in many ways across many publishers and websites so I figure it’s probably time to swap that out before I’m in too deep.

Dinner and a drink felt perfect for me. It’s my absolute favorite thing — like who doesn’t LOVE dinner and a drink?! And while, as the name denotes, it will be mostly about food and drinks, I’ll throw in some fun and interesting conversations as well — I plan to keep most of the content free, but might go a little crazy behind the paywall lol!

The other exciting part is that I’ll be hiring someone to help with executing it which means I will finally be able to conquer this consistency beast.

As always, I love you for being here and can’t wait to share more of what’s up my sleeve. I am debating whether or not to keep the traditional ‘Dinner Diaries’ newsletter format here as well as original recipes every week, so comment on this post and let me know what you think. I’ve started uploading the Dinner Diaries archives and will try to get those all up soon because I like the way substack functions as a blog and they can live “forever”.
