10-minute Korean Ground Beef Bowls
Sweet, savory, and super simple - add this recipe to the rotation!
Food for thought:
Do you have a 1 pound pack of ground beef in the freezer or fridge? Perfect, then if you also have a decently stocked pantry, you probably have everything you need for this delicious and actually 10-minute Korean beef bowl. (I find that most of the time when people say things are ‘x-minute meals’, they are grossly underestimating the time or maybe assuming I have a sous-chef? who knows!)
I have been making this ground beef bowl a lot recently when I find myself pressed for time and/or when I have a pound of ground beef on hand and I’m not in the mood for tacos or burgers.
To me, it feels much more decadent than a quickly thrown together stir fry, and the sweet and salty combo of soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame is almost always a slam dunk in just about any recipe.
Recipe Notes:
To keep it as a true 10-minute meal, I serve this over the frozen bagged rice (jasmine or brown!) from Trader Joe’s.
I find that this dish also lends itself well to using up other veggies in the fridge that might be on their last days (I’ve tried peppers, broccoli, and spinach and they all worked well!).
